Semi coke is a new type of carbon material obtained by pyrolysis of high-quality Jurassic coal blocks abundant in Shenfu coalfield under medium and low temperature conditions to precipitate coal tar and gas.

Semi coke as a kind of new carbon material has been widely used in chemical industry, metallurgical industry, gas-making industry, etc.; With the characteristics of high fixed carbon, high specific resistance , high chemical activity, low ash, low sulfur, low phosphorus, has gradually replaced the metallurgical coke and widely used in the production of calcium carbide, ferro alloys, ferrosilicon, silicomanganese, silicon carbide, fertilizer etc. And it is also widely used in blast furnace and sintering process in steel production and has became an irreplaceable carbon materials.
